DoCoMo Announces New Management
DoCoMo announced that the board of directors has met and proposed changes in executive positions for official approval at the shareholders and board of directors meetings scheduled to be held on June 20, 2008. Most notably the replacement of President and CEO Masao Nakamura who will hand over the helm after 4-years to Ryuji Yamada. Also noted as officially resigning, and widely reported, SVP Takeshi Natsuno. A quick trip down memory lane.
It was a somewhat shorter ride for Nakamura-san who replaced Tachikawa (who served for 6-years) in June 2004. In an early interview with the Nikkei the incoming man from NTT stated the three major goals of his tenure would be to; increase 3G FOMA subscribers, dig out new revenue sources such as mobile e-commerce and enhance customer satisfaction. All things considered he did manage to address those key points and handled the company through some rather difficult times, most notably mobile number portability. We look forward to Yamada-sans meet the press sometime in late June.
Our best to all on the road forward.
