  • Net-M Enables Android Carrier Billing

DoCoMo’s German-based subsidiary, Net Mobile, enables carrier billing for apps in the Android Market as of the end of March: http://bit.ly/hDwziI

Düsseldorf, 06th of April 2011 - net mobile AG, Europe’s leading provider of mobile and interactive value-added services, realizes Google’s Carrier Billing for NTT DOCOMO Inc. in Japan. DOCOMO is among the first carriers worldwide now being connected to the mobile payment system, long-awaited by developers and customers alike. Since the end of March, customers of the Japanese carrier can now pay for apps within Google’s Android Market easily via their mobile phone bill. With carrier billing, the payment amount will be directly debited from the customer’s invoice, resulting in a very convenient shopping experience for the end-user. Furthermore, a credit card for payments with Google Checkout is no longer required. DOCOMO, on the other hand, profits from net mobile’s cost-effective payment interface solution that flexibly adapts to the carrier’s existing billing systems including a custom reconciliation process. The innovative payment architecture of the net mobile AG has been designed to also integrate other carriers quickly and cost-effectively. Details Here.
