Wireless Watch Japan Update
We’re hard at work preparing our new site and July line-up which will include an exclusive look at NTT DoCoMo’s 505i-series launch event held in Tokyo to announce the latest of their super-sophisticated i-mode handsets, visits with several mobile technology-focused ventures being fledged at Tokyo’s Venture Habitat, and a profile of a unique mobile health-care management service. Make sure you’re subscribed to the Wireless Watch Japan mailing list to stay up-to-date on our relaunch activities and to receive the first issue of the new and improved WWJ mail magazine.
Since January 2002, the Wireless Watch Japan media project has brought you the best in wireless coverage from the heart of Japan’s mobile revolution.
Today, Wireless Watch Japan is the only independent English-language media site focusing exclusively on the business of wireless in Japan. WWJ provides in-depth, behind-the-shojireporting in streaming video and newsletter format and we help decision makers make business sense out of wireless confusion.
In May 2003, the Wireless Watch Japan website will undergo an extensive rebuild with the aim of improving our services and interactivity.
While designs are still being fleshed out, we expect to add improved video and newsletter archiving with comment features, a wide-ranging discussion forum, and full networking functionality for subscribers.
We also plan to announce several unique, mobile industry-focused services that will help maintain and strengthen our position as the leading English-language information source covering the business of wireless in Japan.
Each week, the WWJ video newsmagazine interviews the people in the know about i-mode, ShaMail, 3G, J-Phone, DoCoMo, KDDI, WLAN, FOMA, Shibuya teens, ring tones, and much more. Savvy viewers also get a first-hand peek at the handsets, tools, technology, and applications making Japan’s mobile market the coolest industry anywhere. We’ll show you who’s making money here, how they’re doing it, and how the rest of the world’s wireless players should react to Japan’s unwired Internet beta test.
For now, we hope you enjoy this short preview of upcoming video newsmagazine programs.
