Mitsubishi Electric Selects ACCESS NetFront i-mode Global Profile
ACCESS announced that its NetFront(r) i-mode(tm) Global Profile integrated software solution was selected by Mitsubishi Electric for deployment in its M430i i-mode handset. The M430i is currently offered by leading i-mode operators such as Bouygues Telecom, COSMOTE, E-Plus, Far EastTone, KPN Mobile, Telefonica Moviles, BASE, Telestra, and WIND, with additional i-mode operators to follow. NetFront i-mode Global Profile is a comprehensive, integrated solution specifically optimized for the i-mode Global service. It offers operators and their handset partners seamless i-mode Global deployments while reducing overall cost and time-to-market.
All technologies comprising NetFront i-mode Global Profile were developed by ACCESS with NTT DoCoMo and have been proven in millions of deployments worldwide. NetFront i-mode Global Profile is based on ACCESS’ advanced NetFront v3 mobile Internet browser and is a profile included within ACCESS’ NetFront Mobile Client Suite.
The M430i is the most advanced handset now offered for the i-mode Global service, and together with ACCESS’ NetFront i-mode Global Profile, delivers a rich and seamless mobile Internet experience to end-users. The M430i provides i-mode Global users with advanced features including a QVGA screen, a digital camera with video capability, external memory, support for NTT DoCoMo’s DoJa (Java 2.5) as well as support for 3D graphics.
