There’s been plenty of navel gazing and tongue waggin on how Japan (aka Galapagos) has not been able to take mobile phones into global markets. As we have stated many times in the past: it’s Nihon inside! Now with 12 device makers aligned into four main players, and a global LTE platform coming into place, we might finally see a Japan ‘branded’ super-phone for overseas yet someday! [Eds]
