Opera Browser for Japan Wireless
Kyocera has unveiled the AH-K3001V handset [image] for the Japanese market. It’s the first handset available in Japan that uses the Opera browser to access the Internet. The phone is fully Opera-branded, including an Opera-branded softkey that brings users online for Web surfing. The AH-K3001V will be available to DDI Pocket AirH” subscribers by mid-May.

Kyocera and Opera have previously announced the delivery for the Chinese market, under the names V91 and PS-900. The handset runs on Opera’s port to the MicroITRON operating system, and features the latest in Opera’s browser development, Opera 7. Opera 7 ensures the highest performance, with added speed and the most advanced standards support available in any Web browser today.
