10M Smartphones in Japan – Comscore

Comscore Japan announced the result of the survey concerning the market trend of a smart phone on June 30. This investigation is the one using data base of the cellular phone user who develops U.S. Comscore by eight countries in the world.
It was assumed that the number of users of Android terminals (about 4.6 million people) had exceeded the number of users of iOS (about 3.9 million people) in March this year according to this investigation. The number of users of Android terminals is about 2.1 million on December, 2010, and will have increased by the twice or more in three months. However, still strong popularity is shown though Android exceeded iOS in each OS with the iPhone series occupies three of tops 5 in each model.
