Docomo says no plan to sell Apple iPhone
Docomo Inc , Japan’s biggest mobile phone carrier, does not plan to sell Apple Inc’s iPhone, an executive said on Friday. “We have no plans now to sell the iPhone,” Senior Executive Vice President Kiyoyuki Tsujimura said at an annual shareholder meeting, adding that the firm would be unable to add its iMode internet services onto the iPhone. NTT Docomo had previously bid for rights to sell the iPhone, which has boosted sales for rival Softbank Corp , but has since shifted its focus to smartphones using Google’s Android operating system.
