  • UQ Expands WiMax With NEC

    UQ Communications just announced they have deployed base stations manufactured by NEC for their WiMAX services.

    UQ started operation with NEC base stations on March 10, in addition to existing SAMSUNG base stations. SAMSUNG and NEC base stations are able to work together for constructing WiMAX cells. This compatibility brings advantage at procurement, operation and maintenance, and UQ accelerates area coverage and improves network flexibility and stability.
