Nihon Enterprise and helloNetwork Asia Announce Mobile Partnership
Nihon Enterprise and helloNetwork Asia today announced an agreement that will further enhance the two companies’ strong domestic and global presence in the field of mobile content distribution. The partnership will enable Nihon Enterprise to expand its content distribution channels by utilizing helloNetwork’s unique Java-based Mobile Media technology for premiere content distribution.
Included will be streaming audio, news delivery, MVD (Mobile Video Downloads), and backend content encoding and distribution tools. “This partnership enables both Nihon and helloNetwork to leverage their strengths in the mobile content and solutions business in the Asian Pacific region and beyond,” said helloNetwork CEO Victor Siegel. “It also reinforces our global leadership as the leading Java mobile content distribution technology.”
“This partnership is a great opportunity to create a value chain for both companies,” commented Jiro Nakamura, head of corporate planning of Nihon Enterprise. “We’re particularly excited about this opportunity,” noted Tim Smith, director of helloNetwork, Asia, “as it represents establishing a strong business presence in the mature, competitive Japanese mobile contents sector.”
