Panasonic System Networks will release a new hybrid-model “TOUGHPAD” running Android 4.2 in mid-June along with an embedded Windows 8 version by late August. Both units will have LTE voice functions with liquid crystal display 5 inches, 1280 × 720 dots, and 10 points multi-touch. Price is estimated to be about 130,000 yen.
The Windows model “FZ-E1″ is quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm made in “MSM8974A” chipset. Android model “FZ-X1″ has quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm made in “APQ8064T”. Memory is 2GB, storage is 32GB. Communication function support (HSPA +, 1xEV-DO) and 3G LTE. Wireless LAN in 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It can also use NFC (Type A/B/C), has 8M camera and microUSB, microSD card slot SDXC support provided.
Hot-swap battery is 14 hours continuous use time, continuous standby time is about 1000 hours. Charging time to 100% to about 3 hours, up to 50 percent capable of rapid charging of 1 hour.
