Here’s a quick article from the Nikkei interview with Google on plans to target the enterprise via Android in the cloud http://bit.ly/bZ8fItGoogle Inc. will make it easier for businesses to deploy its cloud computing services by strengthening security for workers who access them via mobile phone, Dave Girouard, president of the company’s enterprise division, said Thursday in an interview with The Nikkei.
The search engine giant plans to make it possible to use its cloud-based Google Apps services from smartphones running the firm’s Android operating system more securely.
Japan is a strategic market, Girouard said, adding that Google plans to promote its cloud services here to not only major corporations, but also government entities. To realize this goal, the firm will need to cooperate with cellular phone service providers, he said.
