NTT Collaborates with Conexus
NTT Communications announced today that it has agreed with Conexus Mobile Alliance, a cooperative association of Asia-Pacific mobile operators, to deliver enterprise smartphone solutions that multinational corporations can use to support their expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of providing these solutions, NTT Com also will offer consultation on applicable smartphones and tariff plans in countries/regions where Conexus members have a presence. NTT Com began providing Global Messaging solutions on April 1 of this year.
NTT Com’s solutions will be based on Hosted Exchange package of Global Messaging built with Microsoft Exchange, the company’s suite of cloud-based enterprise groupware for applications such as webmail, scheduling and file management. Global Messaging is offered under NTT Com’s BizCITY concept of providing secure access to enterprise services from anyplace at anytime. When used via smartphones, Hosted Exchange package of Global Messaging provides customers with secure, convenient access to office communication applications with minimal time and place constraints. It is particularly ideal for business travelers who require a smart, productive and secure mobile work environment.
Enterprises using Global Messaging can reduce total cost of ownership including startup costs by optionally outsourcing the management and operation of multiple groupware applications and mail servers to NTT Com data centers.
Conexus Mobile Alliance was established in April 2006 as one of Asia’s largest mobile alliances to develop international roaming and corporate mobile services that deliver enhanced convenience and ease of use. As of September 2009, Conexus comprised 11 operators in 13 countries/regions serving more than 240 million mobile subscribers.
