  • Japan Mobile Stats for Sept 2009

    SoftBank Mobile tops 108k net additions, edging KDDI at 102K, nearly double DoCoMo who saw 9k net loss of imode subs

    The Telecommunications Carriers Association has release their official results for the month ending September 30th, 2009. While the over-all market managed a 30-day gain of 276K new subscribers it was a tough month for DoCoMo, showing only 25% of the net additions, with a net-loss of 9,200 imode members month-on-month from August.

    The total base for the top three operators now stands at just under 108M with 102.5M on a 3G connection and 92M on signed-up for a data-plan. The full details, in English, are available online Here.
