  • Operators to Adjust Mobile Package Rates

    There has been a fair amount of speculation (see here and here) about pricing strategies, related to future handset subsidies and voice minute charges, for mobile operators in Japan based on regulation suggestions made in a recent report to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

    Considering the recent comments by Onodera-san from KDDI this might be a bit premature, however it would seem that some type of token effort will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, perhaps there will be an ‘interesting discussion’ about this topic tomorrow during the morning conference session at CEATEC..
