MCN Wins Meffy Award

Mobile Content Networks won a Meffy award in Monte Carlo for its popular FM Radio Music Search application which was launched on DoCoMo’s D903i in 2006. The Meffys Search and Discovery Award was a new category introduced this year to highlight the great work being done by companies to encourage people to discover and enjoy content on their handsets. Congats!

We’re delighted and honored to receive the first-ever Meffy for Mobile Search and Discovery, said MCN CEO Marc Bookman. This recognition of our work with our partner on the project, D2 Communications, and with NTT DoCoMo, reinforces the emphasis that mobile network operators put on enabling their subscribers to get the content they want in real-time, the first time.

DoCoMo’s FM Tuner radio service streams a wide range of radio stations to mobile phone users. Working with D2Communications, MCN leveraged its MobileSearch.net whitelabel search platform to enable subscribers to find, in real-time, ringtones, images, videos, CDs, DVDs, and other content associated with the music and artist they are listening to.
