Seems we were not on the VIP invitation list, at least NikkeiBP made it, to attend this recent Tokyo Fashion Show event featuring the latest styles targeted at Ginza shoppers here for fall 2006. However, the Sony Ericsson W43S was front and center with the all girl hip-hop group YA-KYIM on the catwalk singing their signature theme for the handsets new TV ad campaign.
According to the Nikkei article it appears that MTV and Sony Ericsson will also launch a so-called CREATIVE TREASURE BOX 2006 – “Open the key to the conception” ad campaign. Apparently the W43S will have dedicated show space at the newly opened (and uber-trendy) Omotesando Hills shopping complex for one week starting October 15. The Sony Ericsson “Style-Up” front panel emits light from 12 LED’s with a targeted collection of over 100 custom panels to choose from created by “famous domestic and International designers”. If you’re in town (and can’t wait) we expect to see the collection on display at CEATEC in Tokyo the first week of October.
