Fujitsu to Demo Newest WiMAX
Fujitsu Microelectronics America will demonstrate its newest WiMAX reference design system at the 12th annual Wireless Communications Association (WCA) International Symposium, January 17-19, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. The Fujitsu demonstration will feature a WiMAX base station communicating with a subscriber station built using the Fujitsu WiMAX reference design kit. The kit incorporates all the hardware and software required to allow designers to develop WiMAX-compliant equipment based on the Fujitsu MB87M3400 WiMAX System-on-Chip (SoC), the industry-leading WiMAX implementation.
“Fujitsu has established itself as a global leader in this powerful, exciting new broadband wireless technology,” said Keith Horn, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Fujitsu Microelectronics. “Our new reference design kit is giving customers a valuable technology edge, helping them launch their new WiMAX-compliant products efficiently and on schedule.”
Fujitsu Featured at “Chips Unplugged” Panel at IEEE Communications Society Session
Fujitsu also will take part in a special panel presentation featuring WiMAX industry pacesetters. The “Chips Unplugged: WiMAX Chip Leaders Describe Goals and Strategies” panel will take place on Thursday, January 19, at 6:15 p.m. at the IEEE Communications Society Santa Clara chapter’s monthly meeting, which is co-located with the WCA. George Wu, director of marketing for Technology Solutions/ASSPs, will represent Fujitsu on the panel. The session will be moderated by Wei-Min Lu, Co-Chair, IEEE Santa Clara Valley Chapter.
