Dilithium Networks, a leading provider of wireless multimedia solutions, announced today that NEC, one of the largest 3G handset vendors has purchased Dilithium Network Analyzer, further confirming our leading position in the 3G video telephony test market. Dilithium Networks estimates that 80% of 3G Mobile operators, network equipment vendors, and handset manufacturers use Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA) to perform 3G-324M protocol compliance, interoperability testing and QoS measurements of mobile networks.
DNA was the first 3G-324M/H.324M protocol analysis tool on the market and has established itself as the industry reference platform for compliance and interoperability testing of network equipment and terminals. It is in use by a majority of the 3G operators including Vodafone, H3G, Orange, SFR, NTT DoCoMo, China Mobile, Chunghwa Telecom, KTF, and SK Telecom as well as a majority of network and terminal vendors including Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, NEC, Motorola, Alcatel, Lucent, and Nortel.
?DNA has become the defacto standard among mobile operators, network equipment, and handset vendors? said Paul Zuber, Chief Executive Officer, Dilithium Networks. ?We will continue to strengthen our leadership position by working closely with Mobile operators to provide best in class solutions to enable successful uptake of video telephony and provide a high quality user experience.?
The DNA family of video telephony protocol analysis tools supports a variety of wireless and wireline interfaces, including 3G data cards and 3G and FOMA handsets. The DNA?s new key performance indicators (KPI) features allow operators to measure and test networks Quality of Service (QoS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) delivery in the field and lab environments.
