  • China Mobile Selects Dilithium Networks’ Leading 3G Test Tool

Dilithium Networks, a leading provider of wireless multimedia solutions, today announced that the largest mobile telecommunications operator in the world, China Mobile, has purchased the Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA) the industry-leading 3G protocol analysis and test tool. The DNA will be used for interoperability testing and standards compliance with equipment manufacturers.

DNA enables 3G operators and network equipment vendors to identify and address service issues which are critical to providing a high quality user experience and successful uptake of video telephony.

“We look forward to working with China Mobile and appreciate this opportunity to demonstrate the advantages that the DNA technology has to offer operators in the deployment of 3G networks,” said Dennis Zhang, Sales Director, Dilithium Networks, Asia Pacific. “China Mobile represents an important step in our efforts to promote the rapid adoption of 3G video telephony in the China marker.” China Mobile is the largest mobile operator in the world.

DNA is the leading 3G test tool used by the majority of the 3G operators and handset OEMs globally, including Vodafone, H3G, Orange, NTT DoCoMo, KTF, and SK Telecom, Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, NEC, and Ericsson. This new win continues to extend Dilithium Networks? leading position as the reference standard for 3G-324M protocol testing globally.

    About DNA
DNA was the first 3G-324M/H.324M protocol analysis tool on the market and has established itself as the industry reference platform for compliance and interoperability testing of network equipment and terminals. DNA is designed for diagnosing, analyzing and monitoring all aspects of video telephony calls including call control, connection setup and tear down, and voice and video codec quality.

DNA provides terminal and network monitoring functions. In terminal mode, DNA can emulate 3G-324M terminals and be used for troubleshooting, protocol analysis, IOT, as well as end-to-end service tuning. In network monitoring mode DNA can be used to sniff the traffic between two 3G-324M terminals, analyze traffic and decode-play the media.
