LG Exporting Tri-Band Phone to US
LG Electronics announced Thursday that it will provide its handsets to the largest GSM operator of the US, Cingular. According to LG Electronics, it will export Tri-band GPRS camera phone (L1200) that can provide roaming service between the US and Europe and super-small-sized dual band GPRS color phone (C1300).
LG Electronics said that L1200 is the first camera phone exported in the North American GSM market, which can operate in three frequency bands: 850 MHz and 1900MHz in the US and 1800MHz in Europe. The phone enables businessmen or travelers who frequently cross the Atlantic to receive roaming service without changing their handsets. Continue >>
