Japan Developers Win BREW Awards

At the BREW 2004 Developer Conference in San Diego, awards to honor stand-out BREW products and services were announced in six categories. EZFM and EZ Naviwalk won 1st prize in the Best Entertainment and Best Location-Based categories, respectively. Other Japanese entries from Edia Co., MediaSeek Inc., and Namco were selected as finalists in the information, entertainment and productivity categories.

Mobile Banking – China M-World Co., Ltd. (China)
Finalists:
2D Code Reader – MediaSeek Inc. (Japan)
Smart Traffic™ – Pharos Science & Applications (U.S.)

Best Entertainment Application:
Winner: EZFM – NANO Media, Inc. & ITOCHU Corp. (Japan)
Finalists:
Magic Photo – IBSnet Co., Ltd. (Korea)
Takio no Tatsujin – Namco® Ltd. (Japan)

Best Game Application:
Winner: JAMDAT® Bowling 2 – JAMDAT® Mobile Inc. (U.S.)
Finalists:
Battle Baseball 2004 – GAMEVIL Inc. (Korea)
Sword of Troodon – Troodon Entertainment Technology Co., Ltd. (China)

Best Location-Based Service Application:
Winner: EZnaviwalk – Navitime Japan Co., Ltd. (Japan)
Finalists:

Vindigo® City Guide – Vindigo Studios (U.S.)

Best Communications Application:
