  • Sharp’s Galileo PVR with WiFi

    Sharp Electronics, in partnership with Instant802 Networks, has just released the Galileo Personal Video Recorder (PVR) with wireless 802.11g video distribution technology in Japan. It has the ability to communicate and serve up video, photos, music, or any type of file on its hard drive to just about any Web enabled PC, PDA, or Cellphone.

    The networked Digital Media Server has PVR functionality, records in MPEG-2/4 with Internet file sharing capabilities. It provides several data networking solutions, including a complete residential gateway with the latest security features, including Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), as well as a wireless access point that supports multiple independent networks and provides complete network security while allowing limited “guest access” requiring no configuration.” Press release Here.
