  • UEFA Site Coming for i-mode

NTT announced it will launch an official “uefa.com” site for i-mode mobile with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The service is set to begin on April 19, 2004. They will provide the latest highlights from the official Japanese UEFA site “jp.uefa.com,” including updates from games such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA EURO 2004. Other features will include interviews with popular players, information about individual players and their teams, and a variety of screensavers.

Compatible i-mode handsets are those with color screens in the 502i series, as well as more advanced models. To connect to the site, users first go to the “menu list,” then choose “sport,” and finally click on “baseball/soccer.” The website may also be directly accessed at http://i-mode.uefa.com.

NTT Com’s future plans include the distribution of mobile broadband content that is compatible with “i-motion” movie-based pictures, as well as high-content solutions such as “i-appli” screensavers. The company also aims to include goal scene images and super shot collections of star players. Continue >>
