  • Info Plant: Surveys 20,046 i-mode Users

    Online market researcher Info Plant conducted a survey of 20,046 i-mode users (male 34.6%, female 65.4%) on use of the Internet between July 28 and August 4. Of the respondents, 80.2% use a PC to access the Internet. Of the company owners, people in management positions, and students, more than 90% access the Internet from a PC.

    At home, 50.8% of the pollees now have broadband web connection. Of those who use the PC to surf on the Net, 83.8% use a PC at home to access the Internet. As many as 16.2% of the respondents do not go online from a home PC. Of those who were surveyed, 28.7% use the Internet for less than one hour; 18.2% for less than 30 minutes; 13.4% for less than 15 minutes. Continue >>
