  • Dozing driver delays long-distance bus

    A West Japan Railway Co. (JR West) bus arrived at its destination 35 minutes late after the driver took a nap during the journey and forgot to set his alarm clock, it has been learned.

    The 42-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, decided to take a nap during a break at a parking area in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, on his bus that was traveling from Hiroshima Station to Osaka Station. And because the firm failed to contact the driver on his company cell phone, the driver was left unaware that he was oversleeping, company officials have admitted. CONTINUE
